Bethany Bennick is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a dual-degree in International Studies and French. Additionally, she holds an undergraduate certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution. Bethany has returned home to her native Arizona upon concluding a teaching assistantship for the French Ministry of Education in northern France. Her passion for world affairs and intercultural communication has been fueled through several opportunities overseas, including an internship with Pax Romana, a UNHRC affiliate NGO, in Geneva, Switzerland, a study abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a summer exchange to Bordeaux, France. While at Pepperdine, Bethany was heavily involved with the Nootbaar Institute’s Global Justice Program and the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship’s Micro-Enterprise Program. Bethany is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Global Affairs and Management from Thunderbird School of Global Manage before pursuing a career with the US Department of State. Bethany hopes her time with Phoenix Sister Cities as the Youth & Education Program Manager will prove a rewarding experience, providing valuable insight into non-profit management, youth programming, as well as local and foreign relations.
