Phoenix Sister Cities, Inc. offers internships during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Our intern positions are for current undergraduate, graduate students, and recent graduates who are interested in nonprofit work, event management, international relations, economic development, communications, tourism, web design, municipal government and public relations.
Internship positions include: Assistant to the President, Assistant to the Vice President, Marketing Coordinator, and Assistant to the Youth & Education Program Manager. Interns may be eligible for stipends and/or academic credit, depending on college policy and number of hours worked.

Phoenix Sister Cities, Inc. is excited to offer four different internship opportunities throughout the year. Each position is held for the duration of a semester and are held during the Fall, Spring and Summer.
Assistant to the President/CEO
The assistant to the President/CEO is responsible for providing administrative support to the President while completing projects that coincide with the needs of the organization. Duties include, but not limited to, project management, taking minutes at Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings, drafting correspondence and reports, research, and assisting the Membership Coordinator.

Assistant to the Vice President
The Assistant to the Vice President is responsible for providing administrative support to the Vice President while completing projects that coincide with the needs of the organization. Duties include project management, designing promotional material, drafting correspondence and reports, research, and working with specific volunteer City Committees.

Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator assists with various communications and marketing projects. Duties include website development, social media, and marketing materials for various projects. Applicants should have an academic background or previous experience in communications, marketing, public relations, research, writing, and/or international relations.

Assistant to Youth and Education Program Coordinator
Phoenix Sister Cities currently offers three major programs related to youth, including the Youth Ambassador Exchange Program, the Teach Abroad Program and the Phoenix-Taipei Sister Schools STEAM Pilot Program. The Assistant reports to the Youth and Education Program Coordinator and assists in all aspects of the implementation of these programs.

Requirements
Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate with a strong interest in nonprofit work, event management, international relations, economic development, communications, tourism, web design, municipal government, and public relations. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, attention to detail, organization skills, and willingness to learn. It is preferred that interns have some experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
The successful candidate must be organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines, and the ability to work independently and in a team are necessary.
Schedule
Full and part-time internships are available; preference is for interns to work no less than 20 hours a week over a minimum of three days. Interns are also required to attend occasional evening meetings and have opportunities to attend committee events on the weekends. Applicants interested in serving as the Assistant to the Youth and Education Program Coordinator must have some weekend availability.
